back from my mini hiatus!
Last week was a really trying period for me and I believe it was the same for majority of the people around me. Had 3 deadlines to meet in a week and that was damn insane. So proud of everyone and myself for making it through and I really think we deserve a pat on our shoulders :)
Last weekend + Monday were spent camping in NLB in an attempt to complete my horrible geography essay and the place is honestly quite a nice place to be at other than the tight security regulations. Felt like a regular visitor by the 3rd day especially when another regular visitor showed signs that he recognised me haha. Tuesday was spent walking around in school like a zombie thanks to that essay which robbed my entire night's sleep and it was omgly not cheap at all to cab to school. Wednesday was spent rushing GIS presentation slides and MATLAB assignment. Thursday, I finally had a decent meal with Daniel, probably the first in 2 weeks and Friday was spent calming my soul down for my GIS presentation, my last assignment of the week!
Above is the very harmless and censored version of the chiongster week because I've decided to spare everyone from the boring whines and complaints about my work. In a nutshell, I was up to my neck in work and there was the untimely discovery of some unpleasant and ugly truth that caused a great deal of disappointment. Well while there were things that made the week worse than it already is, there were also things that made it less painful for me. Am very thankful to many people who helped me along the way, especially my parents who have been increasingly understanding and tolerant of my late sleeping hours and absence in their lives, Daniel and selfless friends who have been encouraging and patient in guiding me, my gypsy who went down specially to NUS's Central Library to get me a book for my essay and even strangers whom I met in the library who helped me in different ways.
The hell week was so traumatising that I was shamelessly not guilty of slacking this weekend away oops. Needed a break badly so Denise's party came very timely!
Getting ready for the nautical themed party, trying very hard to match up the red, white and blue!

It was touching to see the proud look on her parents and relatives' faces when she made her speech to thank the attendees, and the rest of the night was spent catching up with friends and donating money to them, if you get what I mean haha.
The night craze
The guys (yes the guys) started pillow fighting among themselves and somehow the target shifted to the birthday girl. More pictures with Daniel.
The party was a cosy and simple affair and I believe all the guests enjoyed themselves as much as I did :) Met parents for breakfast after checking out that made me a happier girl.

Can't wait for Christmas now. Till then!

And I wonder if you know
How it really feels
To be left outside alone
When it's cold out here
Well maybe you should know
Just how it feels
To be left outside alone.
