Cast the shadow of burden behind us

Someone filed a complaint against me last week for not keeping my promise to update daily, and i swear I had a good mind to do up a proper and long one over the weekend. but unfortunately actions don't speak louder than words whenever i am up to my neck in work, so I decided to continue breaking my promise :/

The number of deadlines I have to meet is actually quite manageable, like 1-2 deadlines per week but it's the nature of these assignments that drives people crazy, like the very one I am working on now- Matlab a.k.a Madlab. Mind-boggling, time-consuming and makes people feel that they are stupid.

2 presentations, 3 quizzes and 1 more essay to go before the final papers a month plus later, and if I am not wrong, the NUS peeps should be taking their papers like soon soon so *waves to Meiqi, Stacia, Kylie & Sherlin*, all the best for your exams! :)

So today...

is a rather exciting day, in a bad way that is. Was working on my assignment on the train when my laptop decided to pop me a surprise by showing me this

crash error report a.k.a blue screen of death X 5 times,

with my Matlab assignment, GIS project and geography essay brainstorm unsaved so the gan jiong-ness then was really beyond words. Rushed my laptop to 'A & E' and it was rather unbelievable that the technicians there have no idea how to go about fixing a problem which I thought is rather common and frequently encountered. But anyway my laptop rose from the dead in the end and I managed to back up all my precious documents and that's all that matters! The thought of losing all the work for good is really damn freaky and thank god Serene and Daniel were virtually by my side to assure and distract me :)

The sweet but shy girl (as you can see) who bought something to cheer me up!

is also the violent girl who destroyed something in the lab:

Blackmail-able photo HAHAHA!

Met up with Daniel after an intensive (i insist hahaha) Matlab discussion session with the girls, and look at what stress can do to people.

1) Makes people want to create a new fashion statement:

2) Makes people look exceptionally good:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st Nov...

was the day Daniel and I turned a month older and stronger :)

Had dinner at Curry Wok at Bukit Timah. Food's rather good, like the typical tze char dishes but is slightly pricey for the portion and kind of dishes. The drinks are more interesting: grass jelly with lime on the left and grass jelly with milk beside!

Our dinner of sambal sotong, prawn omelette, lor bak and kang kong (discriminated and not in picture haha)

Happy counting months together!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I shall just briefly blog about things that happened some time ago (in no order)

1) The legendary Aladdin/wei-ge/fibre/ATM/Candee's property turned 23! :)

Camwhoring before the grand arrival of the birthday boy

The very gan jiong and excited gf

and that's the male main lead, trying to look as surprised as he can be

we're supposed to do a fun shot, see how these people ps-ed me!

:))

Hope you had a mini blast being the rose among the thorns! :)

2) NIE learning festival

Once upon a Wednesday, I decided to join the weekly ball games Daniel organised and you all can tell what happened to me for that one and only time I participated in the game! Run after a ball like a hero and tripped over Darren, and the hilarious thing was the fall was in damn slow motion. Tried to break fall but attempt failed miserably. Think I seriously major in clumsiness.

It was NIE's learning festival that day too, and Daniel signed us up for a cooking class and was very excited about it. Turned out to be quite disappointing cause everything was prepared for us already so all we 'learnt' was how to operate an oven, slice the chicken and decorate our bento.

was a fun experience attending a cooking class with Daniel though, and seeing how other people decorate their bento creatively, but that's probably the only takeaway from this class.

3) Flea!

Participated in NTU's flea with the girls a few days into the term and it was mad fun and exciting tugging bags of clothes to school, sticking the price tag on them, laying them out on the booth, do internal shopping with each other's clothes (ok only me, ooops), rushing to the booth between lessons and chionging back to class, receiving sms from XW who was very helpful in manning the booth when we are away, and promoting each other's clothes to the crowd :)

The business women

4) ECP (II) with family in the hols

More on FB! (after I upload maybe months later hahaha)

Picnic-ed, chatted, camwhored, played a cui game of volleyball and couple-cycled. Love such simple and meaningful outings, and blogging about it now is a painful reminder of its non-existence ever since school started and how work has robbed me of quality time like that with family and bf :(

5) Anti-fats trio

6) Mr Ong

Super love this picture

Crying for my mum who went into the toilet for barely a minute

Satisfied face after licking the fan (not the one with blade don't worry hahah)

The naughty boy who was so tired but refused to sleep (look at his eyes!)

7) Sis's birthday

A simple affair made wonderful by everyone's presence :)

3.40am now, and not even halfway done with the entry hahaha. Consequence of procrastinating when it comes to blogging. Will update more on my mum's bday, the pork chop lovers and my own soon!

Goodnight!
